CPM to Open Organic Veggie Outlets in City

KOCHI:The CPM will open outlets to sell vegetables free of pesticides and harmful chemicals in all the 164 local committees in the district on Wednesday.

The new initiative is part of the party’s efforts to provide safe vegetables to the public during the Onam season.

“All the 164 local committees of the party and the cooperative societies under its control have joined the mass campaign to produce organic vegetables during the festival season. The efforts paid off and  1,600 tonne of vegetables have been produced till date,” stated a press release from the party.
