KOCHI:Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will be the star attraction at the three-day silver jubilee function of the International Advertising Association (IAA)- India Chapter being held here from September 3-5.
Shah Rukh will be the guest of honour at the inaugural session. The overall theme of the conference is ‘What’s Coming Next’ and sub-theme of ‘Change is shaping the Future!’ The summit will be held at Le Meridian Convention Centre.
Subjects that will be discussed at the summit will cover various aspects of disruption caused by technology, digital and mobile. The summit will also look into issues that impact brands and products. “This will probably be the largest event ever in the field of marketing and advertising in Kerala,” said Srinivasan Swamy, the president of India Chapter of IAA.
Eighteen business sessions on a variety of subjects will be led by 11 international speakers, including Jeffrey Cole, Director, Centre for the Digital Future, from Los Angeles; Cindy Gallop, Founder and Chairman, BBH in USA, Ralph Simon, Chairman and CEO, Mobilium Global; Paul McCarthy, author of ‘Online Gravity’; Rob Sherlock, Worldwide Executive Creative Director of ADK, Japan and more.
Shah Rukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar will talk about their experience as brand custodians. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will speak on the marvels of the mind as it is related to marketing communications. Other personalities who will be attending the summit are Sanjiv Puri, Managing Director, ITC Infotech; Shailesh Rao, Vice President-International Operations, Twitter; Rahul Welde, Media head, Uniliver and Abhay Pandey, Managing Director, Sequoia Capital.
Over 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the summit. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will be the chief guest at the closing session. P K Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries and IT and A P Anil Kumar, Minister for Tourism will also be present at the function.
With an expected gathering of more than 1,000 delegates, this will be the largest IAA event in India.
