KOCHI: Complaints regarding dumping of untreated waste, including toilet waste from the nearby flats into the Kadamprayar, the main water source to SmartCity, Infopark and nearby areas, will be looked into by the Pollution Control Board(PCB), said S. Suhas, Sub Collector, Fort kochi and the nodal officer for SmartCity.  He told this here after visiting the areas where the  untreated waste is said to be dumped into the river. Suhas said a magisterial level order will be released  for the PCB inquiry. “If the complaints are found to be true, stringent action will be taken  against those responsible,” the Sub Collector said.  Action would be taken to clean up Kadamprayar. A project would be finalised for this after talks with officials of SmartCity and Infopark, he added. Baju George, CEO, SmartCity and Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, Infopark among others accompanied the Sub Collector.  The Sub Collector’s visit was as per the Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson’s instruction.
