New Multiplex Coming up at Nedumbassery

Carnival operates 13 screens in Kerala and it has plans to raise it to 60 screens by the year-end

KOCHI:Carnival Cinemas is set to establish a world-class premium multiplex at Kariyadu, Nedumbassery, near Kochi International Airport. The multiplex aims at providing exquisite visual experience with full recliner seats, customised service, home delivery of tickets, advanced sound system and projection system, multi-cuisine options and ample car parking facilities.

In Kerala, Carnival Cinemas operates 13 screens having a capacity of 4,077 seats at seven locations. The company is planning to increase it to 60 screens by 2015-end. P V Sunil Kumar, director and CEO of Carnival Cinemas, said they would be launching a three-screen multiplex at Karunagapally by this month-end.

The launch of three screen each multiplexes at Kodungaloor and Muvattupuzha would be announced soon. The projects for setting up multiplexes are in progress in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Mattannoor, Kannur and Thalassery,” he said.

Carnival group chairman Shrikant Bhasi said the company envisions to have 100 restaurants and 1,000 multiplex screens across the country by 2016-end. After taking over Big Cinemas from Reliance Media and Stargaze Entertainment for Network 18, Carnival now owns 360 screens across the country.
