Cybercrime Conference at TIST Tomorrow

KOCHI: In the wake of increasing number of cybercrimes and IT-related cases, Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) is organising a technical conference on ‘Information Security and Cyber Crime Awareness’ for the benefit of students on its campus on Wednesday.

P P Jayakumar, an officer with Police CyberCell, will detail on Cyber crime and Information Technology Act 2008 at the conference being organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineering of TIST in association with Computer Society of India - Cochin Chapter. A session on Citizen Centric Services through e-Governance and Information Technology will also be held.“Considering the rising number of cybercrimes, people need awareness to safeguard themselves from falling victim to cybercrimes and IT frauds. The sessions will beneficial for students,” said TIST Principal Dr D Vincent H Wilson.
