Two-day RTI Fair from Saturday

KOCHI:‘Vivaravakashikal’, a  facebook group of Right to Information (RTI) activists, are organising a two-day RTI fair at Adhyapaka Bhavan here on May 16 and 17.

State SC-ST Commission Chairman P N Vijayakumar will inaugurate it at 10.30 am. The training sessions, aimed at grooming RTI activists and propagating online information gathering using the Act, will be led by D B Binu, K V Shaji and Hareesh Vasudevan.

An exhibition, short film shows and training sessions will be held for activists, according to a press release.

With more than 12,000 members, the facebook group has been engaging in RTI activities and also works for the release of Indian nationals languishing in foreign jails, the press release stated.
