Revenue Adalat at Paravur Tomorrow

KOCHI:In a bid to resolve the revenue-related issues, the district administration is all set to conduct the first taluk-level adalat at Paravur on Wednesday.

The adalat to be held at the Vyapari Bhavan from 10 am will be inaugurated by Works Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju. Paravur MLA V D Satheesan will preside over the function. Along with District Collector M G Rajamanickam, Sub Collector S Suhas, Deputy Collector (LR), Land Tribunal Tahsildar and Survey Superintendent will attend the adalat.

So far the authorities have got 78 applications from Paravur Taluk and 42 applications from all the villages under the Paravur taluk. The adalat will consider issues including boundary fixation, correction in resurvey, purambokku pattayam and pokkuvaravu. 

“The aim of the adalat is to dispose of the long-pending cases at the taluk-level itself thereby helping people from running from office to office for settling their grievances. We hope that more than 1,000 people will attend the adalat,” Suhas said.

Special seating arrangements for the physically challenged and patients have been arranged near the venue.

The service of student cadet police and red cross volunteers will be available. Free food has also been arranged for the applicants, the Sub Collector said.
