KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday granted bail to two persons accused in the case related to seizure of cocaine from an apartment in Kochi.
Justice B Kemal Pasha granted bail to Jasbir Singh and Prithviraj, the seventh and eighth accused in the case respectively who had allegedly been operating cocaine business in Chennai. The prosecution submitted that the police filed chargesheet against five accused persons, including actor Shine Tom Chacko, and that they were enlarged on bail.
The court observed that investigation of the case was practically over. “Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the period the petitioners underwent in custody, they can also be enlarged on bail,” the court observed while granting bail.
