Man Kills his Wife Suspecting her Fidelity

In a gruesome incident, a 38-year-old man hacked his wife to death at Peringazha in Muvattupuzha on Thursday night, suspecting her fidelity.

KOCHI:  In a gruesome incident, a 38-year-old man hacked his wife to death at Peringazha in Muvattupuzha on Thursday night, suspecting her fidelity. The police arrested Madhu Kuttakapalli from a relative’s  house on Friday. According to the police, Madhu hacked his wife Usha, 35, to death in an inebriated condition. It is learnt that Madhu used to quarrel with his wife over petty issues, and beat her up.   On Thursday night, the accused started beating his wife  and he allegedly hacked the woman to death using a sickle, and fled the scene.

Though local residents rushed the victim to hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead. She had suffered fatal injuries on her neck and back.   The couple, who had been living in a rented house near the Peringazha Church, had no children. Madhu is a daily wage worker and Usha was working at a pickle manufacturing unit. The police have recovered the sickle used to commit the murder from the house.
