KOCHI:The New Rubber Farmers Forum (TNRFF), an organisation formed with participation of various rubber traders and farmers’ groups across the State, has threatened to boycott tyres manufactured by Indian companies, if the government does not take immediate steps to support the rubber farmers. The Forum also demanded a ban on ‘futures trading’ in rubber and reinstatement of the ban on import of rubber through ports in Kerala, which was lifted by the UPA Government.
