THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau director Vinson M Paul ignored the High Court division bench directive in the bar bribery case under pressure from Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Finance Minister K M Mani, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has said.
Achuthanandan said the Division Bench had directed the agency to act independent and fair, which Vinson M Paul did not do. The Vigilance court, which ordered a further probe into the case, had severely criticised the director for this, VS said.
