Counting to Begin at 8 am

KOCHI: Counting of votes  of the local body election will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday at various counting centres in the district.

The proceedings will begin with counting of postal votes, followed by the electronic voting machines. In every local body, counting will be done division/ward wise.

For the district, block and grama panchayats, there will be one counting supervisor and two counting assistants on each counting table.

For the Corporation, meanwhile, there will be one counting supervisor and one counting assistant.

For the panchayats, block-level centres that supplied the EVMs will be used as counting stations.

For the Corporation, the Supply Centre will be the counting station. The votes in the Corporation will be counted at Maharaja’s College.

The first set of results are expected to be out by 9:00 am.
