KOCHI: The Belong Foundation, Kochi, has conducted a one-day study tour for the kids of Vypin. Around 50 students of Belong Foundation visited the Centre for Science in Society (C-SiS), CUSAT. The aim of the study tour was to inculcate the basic principles of science among the students in an interesting manner. The sessions started with a speech by G Nair, director of C-SiS.
“The sessions were full of knowledge and fun for the kids as they were able to understand textbook theories through play models. The faculties of C-SiS explained each and every experiment and demonstrated it to the kids. The youngsters enthusiastically participated in the experiments and jotted down the major points in their diary. Students made maximum use of the Science Park, Science Pavilions, See and Believe Labs and the Math Lab,” a press statement said.
