CPM On Poster-Clearing Spree

KOCHI: In an exemplary initiative, the CPM district committee launched a cleaning drive on Sunday to remove flex boards and posters put up for the civic polls. The party workers also started white washing walls that were defaced during electioneering.

 The party leadership informed that publicity materials put up for the election would be removed across the district in a day and the drive will continue in the coming days as well. The flex boards and other non-degradable materials would be sent for recycling in an environment-friendly manner.

 CPM district secretary P Rajeeve inaugurated the cleaning drive at Karukappilly here on Sunday morning. District secretariat member K J Jacob was also present at the function. Senior leaders of the party including C M Dinesh Mani, C K Manishankar, S Sharma, K Chandran Pillai and P R Muraleedharan inaugurated the cleaning programme at different centres.
