KOCHI: IDBI officers and employees will conduct an all India ‘stay out strike’ on November 26 against moves to privatise the bank by diluting government ownership from 80 per cent to 49 per cent.
A day-long dharna in protest was conducted in front of IDBI regional offices throughout the country on Wednesday. The dharna in front of Ernakulam regional office of IDBI bank was inaugurated by P Raju Secretary AITUC. Leaders of various service organisations were present to express solidarity to the protest. K Chandran Pillai secretary CITU addressed the concluding session. K Sathianadan, CD Jorson, Baby Varghese, Kayakala, Suresh Rajan, N B Kishor Kumar and other leaders were present.
