'Haritha Vidyalaya' Awards 2015

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The State Pollution Control Board has invited applications  for its “Haritha Vidyalaya” awards 2015.  High schools, which put up a good performance in ‘public service through environment conservation’ can apply for the award. The state-level first, second and third prize winners will get certificate and cash prizes of `1 lakh, `50,000 and `25,000 respectively. Certificate and cash prizes of `25,000, `15,000 and `10,000 will be awarded to schools which come first, second and third respectively in the district level.  The factors that will be considered for the award include toilet waste disposal facility, solid waste management project, waste management, including e-waste and plastic waste, and the general hygiene of campus.
