KOCHI: Kerala Governor P Sathasivam on Sunday visited the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

He was received by Southern Naval Command Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral Girish Luthra and Rear Admiral M D Suresh. It was the first official visit to the INA by the Governor.

Delivering a lecture on ‘Leadership Challenges for Young India’ the Governor briefed cadets of the INA about the preparations to be made by the young generation for overcoming future challenges.

The Governor also interacted with the cadets personally during a ceremonial Mess Night held to honour him.

On Monday, the Governor reviewed a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the INA cadets, where he was formally briefed about the various aspects of infrastructure development and training process to meet the future needs of the Navy. The Governor also visited various training facilities, including simulators, seamanship trainer, cadets’ squadrons, firing range, library and technical labs.

The Governor was accompanied by his wife Saraswathi Sathasivam.
