KOCHI: Jose K Mani MP on Thursday denied the allegation about sexually harrassing solar scam key accused Saritha S Nair before Justice G Sivarajan Judicial Commission. He admitted to meeting Saritha once but there were no further communication with her later.
He also claimed that former Kerala Congress (M) leader P C George has raised false allegation connecting him with the scam. According to Jose, P C George was engaged in anti-party activities for which disciplinary action was initiated and he stepped out of the political front. He also denied the statement of P C George that Saritha used Jose K Mani for getting her solar company in the list of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
Jose told the commission that he suspected a conspiracy behind the allegation. He had given a complaint to former State Police Chief to probe the false and derogatory statements.
