Amrita’s e-learning solution wins award

A-View, the open-source e-learning solution developed by the Amrita University, won the FICCI National Award for Excellence in Technology for 2016.

KOCHI: A-View, the open-source e-learning solution developed by the Amrita University, won the FICCI National Award for Excellence in Technology for 2016.

The award was received by Amrita e-learning research lab director Prof Kamal Bijlani from NITI Aayog vice-chairman Dr Arvind Panagariya at the 12th FICCI Higher Education Summit.

The event was inaugurated by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and EU Director General for Culture and Education Martine Reicherts.
Kamal Bijlani said, “this recognition is a testimony to the immense solution A-View provides in addressing the acute shortage of quality teachers in India. It is a live audio-video educational platform used by around 11,000 institutes of higher education.

A-View allows teachers to connect with thousands of students simultaneously from anywhere in the world through online classrooms, meetings, training sessions, workshops and conferences. Students will be able to clear their doubts in the live online sessions.
