KOCHI: The third anniversary of Justice V R Krishna Iyer’s demise was observed here on Monday by the Forum For Democracy and Communal Amity (FDCI).“His love for humanity is what makes him immortal. He was a man who proved his capability and efficiency in every step. He always took decisions with the cooperation of the people,” said prominent literary figure M K Sanu.
“Krishna Iyer was a man who had a creative and critical approach to social issues,” said Justice Cyriac Joseph, who inaugurated the function. “Krishna Iyer was of the viewpoint that we have to live and let live. We live in times when people with differences of opinion don’t live to see another day. Accepting other religions because we have no other option is not secularism; respecting them is. Krishna Iyer was an excellent example of secularism.”
