CM meets Samithi leaders

KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday met Janakeeya Samithi leaders of Chellanam protesting against the lack of seawall in the region. "The Chief Minister has assured to complete the construction of seawall by April 30 as promised by the District Administration. He also assured adequate funds for the ongoing construction," said Jervin Joseph, Janakeeya Samithi secretary. According to him, the Chief Minister was aware of the issues in Chellanam, with former MP P Rajeev, K J Maxi MLA and District Collector Mohammed Y Safirulla passing on information. The meeting lasted for about 10 minutes at the Ernakulam Guest House. Chief Minister was in the city to attend various programmes.
