Plastic-free Cusat: Books made from scrap distributed
Books and stationery made from scrap materials worth `3,000 were distributed among students of the School of Engineering, Cusat as part of ‘Well-being out of waste’, a joint initiative of CUSAT.

KOCHI: Books and stationery made from scrap materials worth `3,000 were distributed among students of the School of Engineering, Cusat as part of ‘Well-being out of waste’, a joint initiative of CUSAT and ITC. The project is the first step towards making the Cusat campus ‘plastic-free’. The waste was collected from various departments and nearby households in and around Cusat’s Thrikkakara campus. Principal of the School of Engineering M R Radhakrishna Panicker, NSS programme members and office staff of the school were present.
