KCBC appoints new secretaries for Church panels

The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council (KCBC) has appointed new secretaries for its Commission for Inter-church Dialogue and Theology Commission.

KOCHI: The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council (KCBC) has appointed new secretaries for its Commission for Inter-church Dialogue and Theology Commission.Fr Prasad Theruvath has been appointed secretary for the Commission for Inter-church Dialogue, while Fr Stanley Mathirappally is the secretary of Theology Commission. Fr Theruvath, belonging to Padappakkara parish under the Kollam diocese, has secured post-graduation from Pontifical Theological Faculty ‘Teresianum’, Rome. 


He studied philosophy at University of Wurzburg, Germany. 
He had served at Manjummal provincial of Discalced Carmelites order. He is now serving as the rector of the Scared Heart Philosophy College, Aluva.


Fr Mathirappally is a member of the Elankunnapuzha parish under the Archdiocese of Verapoly. He has secured a doctorate from the Pontifical Urban University. 


He was serving as the chief editor of ‘Thalenth’,a POC publication, professor at various seminaries and as pastoral ministry coordinator at Archdiocese of Verapoly.
