KOCHI: Lady Luck may come calling in myriad ways. When Tiruvalla native Sunil P S gave a ‘Scorpio’ touch to his autorickshaw, perhaps he didn’t realise his fortune would change for the better.

An ardent fan of the Mahindra Scorpio, his ‘makeover’ was noticed by none other than Mahindra Group executive chairman Anand Mahindra who gifted him with a four-wheeler and inducted the autorickshaw into the Mahindra Museum.

This fateful sequence of events began on March 19  when Mahindra officer Anil Panickar came across the picture of Sunil’s autorickshaw and tagged Anand Mahindra telling him how popular the Scorpio had become among the masses.

The industrialist then asked his team to track down the vehicle and its owner. He also made an appeal through Twitter with the promise of a gift for the owner of the vehicle.

Finally, they found Sunil who was presented with a brand new Mahindra Supro Mini Truck. His iconic three-wheeler was inducted into the Mahindra Museum.

“Remember this request? Our team managed to locate him! And we acquired the three-wheeler from him. Gave him a four-wheeler in return. Here’s Sunil, the proud owner of the three-wheeler ‘Scorpio’, now a happy owner of a four-wheeler,” Mahindra tweeted along with a photo of Sunil with the auto and his new Supro Mini Truck.
