Ahead of TiECON: TiE Kerala launches regional pitch fest
KOCHI: TiE Kerala has launched ‘Regional Pitch Fests’ across the state to identify and support novel ideas of startups as a prelude to the Seventh edition of its entrepreneurship conference, ‘TiECON Kerala 2018’.
The third regional pitch fest held at Kerala Innovation Park, Kinfra High Tech on Wednesday saw participation of budding entrepreneurs and startups with many original and amazing ideas, said Tie Kerala president MSA Kumar. The regional pitch fests will select 20 finalists from different regions who would pitch at TiECON Kerala 2018. The Kerala Startup Mission is the strategic partner for the initiative. Wednesday’s event was preceded by a two-hour workshop on ‘How to make an effective and winning pitch’. Led by Chandu Nair, entrepreneur advisor, facilitator and investor, the workshop was open to all registered participants.
TiECON will be held on November 16 and 17 at Le Meridian Convention Centre here. This year, the event is focusing on ‘Leveraging entrepreneurship and emerging technologies’ to rebuild Kerala after the devastating floods. The first pitch fest was held at Technopark in Thiruvananathpuram on October 11. The second pitch fest was at TBI Palakkad on October 12 in association with the Palghat Management Association. Another pitch fest is scheduled at Kozhikode on October 20 in association with GMi (Greater Malabar Initiative).
