KOCHI: A 19-year-old motorist died after being run over by a bus at Judges Avenue Traffic Junction on Friday. The deceased is Saniya, daughter of Gracy and the late Josey of Elamkunnapuzha.
Saniya was doing a laboratory technician course at a private institute in Kaloor. According to the police, the accident took place around 9.45 am. Saniya’s scooter hit another scooter at Judges Avenue Traffic Junction. In the impact, the scooter crashed and the victim was run over by a bus.
Even though she was rushed to a nearby hospital, she was declared brought dead. The body was handed over to a relative after postmortem on Friday evening. The funeral was held in the evening at Elamkunnapuzha.
Saniya is survived by her sister Taniya.
