KOCHI: A 26-year-old Tamil Nadu native who came to join FACT as a contract employee drowned while trying to cross the Periyar at Eloor on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Prakasan of Chennai. According to fire and rescue service officials, Prakasan lost his life while trying to cross the river along with two of his friends. It was around 11am that the incident took place.
