THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Considering the grave situation faced by the non-appointment in the clerical cadre for nearly two decades, Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has decided to raise the retirement age of its employees to 56.

A meeting of board members observed that the day-today activities of the board would suffer as there was staff shortage.

Centralised System for Counting

As part of the transparency drive, TDB would centralise the system to count the  offerings from devotees in the temples under its jurisdiction.

The board meeting also decided to introduce this system in the TDB temples here.
