After Vidya Balan sizzled the screen with the role of Silk in the film ‘The Dirty Picture, the latest buzz is that the movie will be remade in Telugu and Tamil. Guess who will step into the shoes of Vidya in the remake? Well, if we are to go by the word around, it is going to be Anushka Shetty.

‘The Dirty Picture, which has been inspired from the life of late yesteryear sex siren, Silk Smitha, bagged 3 National Awards apart from winning several other accolades. The film was the topic of discussion even before its release and was subject to several controversies. Apart from the main protagonist played by Vidya in the original, there are three other pivotal roles that were essayed by Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi.

Anushka, known for playing strong women-centric roles, has been noted for her performances in films like ‘Arundathi’ and ‘Vaanam’. However, the actress who is a hot property in Telugu-Tamil film industries has her hands full with several projects and we will have to wait and watch if she’ll give a nod to this offer.
