THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A team of the state cyber police on Tuesday confiscated laptops of two teachers of Kannur who allegedly copied the data from cine actor Raveendran’s hard discs without his knowledge. The team also recorded the statement of K C Muralidharan, a teacher in a private college in Payyannur and Premachandran, a teacher of Payyannur Girls Higher Secondary School.

The cyber police station had registered a complaint on the issue on March 2. The complaint was filed following the direction of the Director General of Police to whom the cine actor had submitted a complaint.

Raveendran had alleged in the complaint that the two teachers had copied his data on cinema, film making, criticism etc which he had been collecting as part of his research for the past 15 years.

Raveendran had gone to the private college as a guest to attend a workshop on cinema.
