THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Adoor Prakash has opined that projects to ensure quality healthcare for the elderly should be given priority. Inaugurating the World Health Day observance, organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) here on Saturday, he said that the IMA should take a lead for the cause. IMA state president Dr Rajagopalan Nair, who presided over the function, said that the Association would conduct awareness programmes on the healthcare of the elderly.

IMA state secretary Dr A V Babu, district president Dr Sreejith N Kumar, secretary Dr Prasanth C V, Dr A Marthanda Pillai, Indian Red Cross Society former administrator Sivarajan, Kerala State Service Pensioners’ Association vice-president K Vikraman Nair, Kerala State Service Pensioners’ Union president R Thankappan, Senior Citizen and Service Council president Gopalakrishnan Nair and Association of Retired Treasury Staff president Sreekumaran Nair spoke.
