THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vattiyoorkavu police arrested a person on charges of threatening another person by brandishing a sword at him. Shibu, a native of Puliyarakonam, was arrested from his residence on the basis of a complaint filed by Rajesh of Thozhuvancode.
According to police, Shibu, along with two others, had brandished a sword at Rajesh on Sunday evening near Thozhuvancode. Shibu had earlier stolen Rajesh’s parrots. On Sunday evening, Rajesh happened to see Shibu and his friends near Thozhuvancode temple and they entered into a verbal duel. In the melee, Shibu managed to get hold of a sword and threatened Rajesh. Rajesh lodged a complaint with Vattiyoorkavu police and they nabbed Shibu. The other accused are absconding.
