THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ‘Gandharva Sandhya’, the function to distribute awards instituted in the name of singer Yesudas by Kairali channel and Swaralaya, will be held on Thursday at Nishagandhi auditorium here.
Around 25 singers will participate in the programme, including P Suseela, M G Sreekumar, M Jayachandran, Sarath, Unni Menon, Vijay Yesudas, Devanand, Sudeep Kumar, Ravi Sankar, Rajalekshmi, Sithara, Preetha, Akhila and Ranabhuvan, said organising committee chairperson K Chandrika and Kairali Channel CEO Venkitaraman.
The programme is directed by filmmaker T K Rajeev Kumar and noted music director M Jayachandran is the music conductor.
Babu, a native of Ahmedabad and the winner of a reality show for street singers, will also participate in the function. Babu, along with his wife Latha and daughter Sruthi, will sing a song of Yesudas and that of Mohammed Rafi.
