THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A three-day-old body of a young woman was found in a flat in Prasanthi Nagar under the Fort Police Station limits. The deceased has been identified as Pushpa, 32. According to the police, Pushpa along with her mother Rugmini was staying in the flat.

Rugmini’s husband died 10 years ago. When foul odour was coming from the house the neighbours complained to the police. When police arrived, they found the body of Pushpa in a decaying state. It is said that Rugmini was not mentally stable and her daughter was suffering from some ailments.

Meanwhile, when the neighbours gathered in the flat, Rugmini stabbed one person injuring him. Police took her into custody.
