THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shashi Tharoor MP inaugurated the Vishu celebrations at the government-run Old Age for Women at Poojappura. The celebration was organised by Karma Socio-Cultural Organisation.
Karma president K Mahadevan presided over the function. The 42 inmates were given ‘Vishu kaineetam,’ medicines and other gifts. Karma also donated a water purifier, a blood glucose sugar monitoring system and a digital thermometer.
Poojappura ward councillor Maheswaran Nair, Old Age Home superintendent M Rasheeda Begum and Karma secretary P S Santhosh were also present.
