THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore will observe ‘Earth Day’ this year with an ‘Earth Day Walk’ from Kowdiar Square to Museum on April 22, at 6.30 a.m.
SBT managing director P Nandakumaran would lead the walk in which Health Minister V S Sivakumar, Mayor K Chandrika, Chief Secretary K Jayakumar, HLL Lifecare Ltd MD M Ayyappan, Travancore Titanium products MD V Muraleedharan, Kerala Sports Council president Padmini Selvan, INKEL MD T Balakrishnan and others are expected to participate. The ‘Earth Day’ founded by Gaylord Nelson in 1970 is celebrated every year on April 22.
On the 42nd anniversary, SBT is rededicating to live in an environment with clean air and water and go green for reducing the carbon footprint.
