THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Marshal S P Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command (SAC), flagged off a trekking expedition organised as a part of the SAC Multi-Adventure Camp (Aero, Land and Aqua Adventure) from Air Force Station, Akkulam.

 A 20-member trekking team led by Group Captain Lokender Sharma will trek a distance of 70 kilometres from Shangumugham to Kappil Lake, Paravoor, through beaches in four days, a Defence spokesperson said.

‘’The main aim of the multi adventure camp is to promote team work, spread awareness about IAF among local people,’’ the spokesperson said.

 The Aero Adventure activities which included sky diving, power hang gliding and para- sailing were completed at Air Force Station, Sulur.

 The land-based adventure activities which include basic and advanced rock climbing and trekking are being conducted in the Thiruvananthapuram area. The trekking expedition will be followed by aqua adventure activities, which will include aqua para-sailing, jet skiing, kayaking and canoeing at Kappil lake, Paravoor, from April 30 to May 6.
