Advertising agencies facing serious challenges: Minister

Health Minister V S Sivakumar has said that the advertising agencies in Kerala are facing serious challenges and the government will consider redressing their problems.

 Inaugurating the 9th anniversary celebrations of Kerala Advertising Agencies Association here, Sivakumar said that advertising agencies had a major role to play in a consumer state like Kerala.

He reminded the agencies not to release advertisements to cheat the consumers. The Health Minister said that awareness was needed for controlling several diseases.

Advertisements play a major part in maintaining public health.

 Advertising Agencies Association state vice-president Sasthamangalam Mohan presided over the meeting. Joint secretary Jayachandran Nair, Thiruvananthapuram zone president Rajkumar, secretary Mohammed Shah, V K Mohanan, Suresh Kumar and R K Kurup spoke.
