Kerala State Chalachitra Academy authorities held a meeting with IFFK Delegates Forum members here on Monday to discuss the various demands raised by the forum.

Following the meeting that was attended by Chalachitra Academy vice-chairman Gandhimathi Balan and secretary K Manojkumar and forum members, the assurance was given that the major issues raised by the forum would be addressed by the Academy.

“We were given the assurance that the issues pointed out by us, including safe and cheap accommodation for women delegates, availability of food and clean drinking water facility, will be made available,” said R Ajayan, secretary, Delegates Forum.

The executive council of the Academy will be meeting on Tuesday, when various issues raised by the delegates would be taken up for discussion and a formal announcement is expected after that.

During Monday’s discussion, the Academy members promised that there would not be any VIP screenings. Adequate travelling arrangements, including increasing the number of autos for delegates, could be made available, as demanded by the delegates.

“We were also given the assurance that a delegate complaint cell will be opened and a stall would be allotted to the Delegates Forum at the venue. Food Court will be opened at the venues and it was also promised that there will be clean toilet facility at all venues,” Ajayan said.
