A marathon to Sabarimala

Marathon runner S Bahuleyan and his friend Venganoor Sreenivasan took off on a run from the city to Sabarimala on Tuesday morning.

Veterans’ Athletic Association president Ashokan Kunnukkal flagged off the run from the Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple at 11.30 am.

Bahuleyan had earlier entered the Limca Book of Records by running 660 kilometres from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod. He had also created news by staging a protest run seeking a job. Later, the government gave him a job.

On Tuesday, both men started on their long-distance run in track suits, clutching the ‘Irumudikettu’ with one hand.
