Bangalore-based Sami Labs, manufacturer of herbal biotechnology products, health care products, food supplements and cosmeceuticals, has been selected as the ‘FICCI Best Food 360 company 2012 in R&D’ at the Food 360°, an international conference on agribusiness & food processing organised by FICCI, Hyderabad.
FICCI-recognised Sami’s Research and Development (R&D) focuses on natural products and wellness, where products from herbal sources are identified, isolated, characterised and optimised for its application in nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals or nutricosmetics and commercialised to meet the ever-increasing global needs.
Last year too, Sami Labs won the FICCI Food 360° award in the category ‘Best Innovation and Technology Company.’ Sami Labs has till date obtained 75 international patents, including seven patents in 2012.
Globally well-known companies like Evonik Industries and Avon have close tie-ups with Sami Labs for development of new range of products and for product line extensions.
Also, Sami Labs supplies quality products to some of the major players in India like Abbott Healthcare, Hindustan Lever, Godrej and Dr Reddys Labs.
