Charitable foundation formed

Swasthi Charitable Foundation, a voluntary organisation for charitable activities and social welfare, has been formed here.  Malankara Catholic Church T’Puram Auxiliary Bishop Samuel Mar Irenios, Santhigiri Ashram organising secretary Swami Gururathnam Jnana Thapaswi, Palayam Imam Jamaluddin Mankada, Imam of Manakkad Valiya Palli  Abdul Gaffar Moulavi and Swami Sukshmananda of Sivagiri Mutt are the patrons.

 Palode Ravi MLA, Pirappankode Murali, Malayalam University VC K Jayakumar, IT secretary P H Kurien, Additional DGP A Hemachandran and Regional Cancer Centre director Paul Sebastian are members of its director board. Former DGP Jacob Punnoose will be the chairman of the Foundation. George Onakkoor, actor Jagdeesh, magician Gopinath Muthukad, Abey George, singer G Venugopal, Condor Builders managing director V Sivaprasad, lyricist Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma, music director Jassy Gift, singer Vidhu Pratap, dancer Tara Kalyan, Emirates Airlines Thiruvananthapuram chief Asha Subramaniam, chartered accountant and consultant Harikrishnan and Compuneeds IT Solutions managing director Gokul Govind will act as trustees of the Foundation.
