Entries invited for SBT Malayala Sahitya Awards

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has invited entries for SBT Malayala Sahithya Awards from short story collection, poetry collection, children’s literature, literary criticism and human interest stories published in Malayalam dailies.

 First edition of books published between January 1 and  December 31, 2012 will be considered for awards in the literary categories. Authors or publishing houses can submit the books. Four copies of the book have to be submitted.

 Human interest stories published between January 1 and December  31, 2012 in Malayalam dailies will be considered for the Media Award. The author or the newspaper institution can submit the entries. One original copy of the newspaper carrying the article and three copies with a certificate of attestation by the authority concerned has to be submitted. The award in all the five categories carry a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a plaque designed by artist Bhattathiri.

 The books and articles will not be returned. The awards will be distributed at the SBT Malayala Sammelanam to be organised in February 2013.

 The entries should reach Chief Manager, Official Languages Department, State Bank of Travancore, Head Office, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram- 695012 not later than January 14, 2013. For further details, contact 0471-2352049.
