Utilise potential of NGOs: Narayanan

West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan has said that the governments at state and Centre should come forward to evaluate the complete picture of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and to formulate an action plan making use of their potential and capabilities.

He was delivering the inaugural address at the 30th annual meet of the Kerala Kalakendram at Kanakakkunnu Palace the other day. Narayanan also recalled that NGOs had spearheaded many initiatives where the government had failed.

The Governor presented the 2012 Global Excellence Awards to Philipose Mar Chrysostum Metropolitan and B Ravi Pillai. He also gave away the golden honour awards to other eminent people.
