‘Vyapaar 2012’ begins today

‘Vyapaar 2012’, a five-day international business and trade fair will begin at the Mascot Hotel here on December 19. Exhibitors from technology, electronics, tourism, textiles, infrastructure, real estate, finance and other sectors would participate. Government and private agencies, which provide entrepreneurial assistance, would also participate in the event. The fair would provide a platform for investors and business owners to meet each other. Various seminars will be conducted by eminent personalities.

Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the event which will be presided over by K Muraleedharan MLA. Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar will inaugurate a seminar session, while a ‘franchising’ session will be inaugurated by Excise-Ports Minister K Babu. The cultural night will be inaugurated by Mayor K Chandrika.

One Roof India Managing Director Siji Nair,Kerala Development Media director Nazeer Salam and others would also attend.

On December 20, a seminar on ‘Creative Journalism’ will be organised and a seminar on’NSIC schemes for MSMEs’ will be conducted by Saravana Kummar, Senior Branch Manager, NSIC, Kochi. Vyapaar-Kerala Development Media Award Night will be held at 6 p m. The function will be presided over by K Muraleedharan, MLA.

The event will be inaugurated by Power-Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed.Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty will be the guest of  honour.The awards will be presented by Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate a seminar on ‘Police Complaint Authority’ at 10.30 a m on Dec 21. The seminar will be conducted by Justice Balachandran, Police Complaint Authority Chairman. Rajesh Nedumbram will present the seminar on ‘Consumer Rights’ at 3 p m.

On December 23, a seminar on Online Marketing will be held at 11 a m. A seminar on 100 years of Indian Cinema will be held at 3 p m.It will be followed by the closing ceremony.
