Confra stir

The first phase of the Gandhian mode of agitations by the Confederation of Residents Associations (Confra) was inaugurated by All-India Gandhi Peace Foundation chairman P Gopinathan Nair at Pappanamcode Junction.

 The demands they raised included implementation of the development works on Karamana-Kaliyikkavila road as per  court orders, expediting the road development programmes, extending the monorail project till Kaliyikkavila, and checking the rising food prices in hotels.

 Representing Confra, advocate S Raghu, M Sasidharan Nair, Prof Geevarghese,  P Latha, K P Appukkuttan, Poonkodu Sunil, Anupama Raveendran, Ramachandran Nair, Yesudasan and Venu Haridas spoke.
