NAPM campaign launched

The ‘Bhakshya-Arogya Swaraj’ campaign launched by the National Association of People’s Movements (NAPM) was inaugurated at the Santhigram at Chappath. Noted traditional physician Cherthala Mohanan Vaidyar inaugurated the campaign.

 The campaign is aimed at promoting public participation in food production,  tuber crops, mango and jackfruit and traditional treatment methods. Other activities like Reiki, acupressure and meditation also are to be encouraged through the campaign.

 Generating public awareness against adulterated food and use of maida is also planned under the campaign.

 Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust executive director K N Anandakumar inaugurated an organic farming meet and training for climbing coconut palms using machines. Shantigram chairman R K Sundaram presided over the function.
