ISRO pavilion at Varkala

Models of rockets and satellites are on display at an ISRO pavlion opened at the Sivagiri Expo-2012, Varkala.

 Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) deputy director P Ratnakara Rao inaugurated the pavilion on Wednesday. The exhibits take visitors through the 50 years of India’s space programme.

 Models of launch vehicles such as RH-75, Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV), Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) and its upcoming Mk-III version, satellites and the futuristic Reusable Launch vehicle (RLV) are on display.  The Sivagiri Expo

is being organised to mark the annual Sivagiri pilgrimage.
