Women and Children Hospital gets NABH accreditation

The Women and Children Hospital at Thycaud here has become the first women and children hospital in the country to get the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH).

Handing over the NABH certificate to hospital superintendent Usha kumari, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that it was a great recognition to a government hospital at a time when there were many complaints about such hospitals in the state.

“The state has achieved many strides in the health sector.

Even though world-class healthcare is available in Kerala, it is accessible only to the wealthy.

The govt’s aim is to make such care available to each and every person in the state,” he said.
