Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is back in action with his upcoming period film ‘Kochadaiyyan’. And he will be seen in a new avatar - sporting a muscular look. The actor flaunts his abs in the first look poster of ‘Kochadaiyyan’,  recently released by his daughter Soundarya on Twitter.

Soundarya, who is directing this mega budget film later tweeted, Thank you all so much for all the tweets!! Work going on full swing. God is great!!!”

The poster has Rajnikanth striking a pose of Lord Shiva, with long hair and a toned body. While some say he will be seen with an eight-pack avatar, others believe he will only have six-pack abs.

‘Kochadaiyyan’, which borrows its name from a Pandya king, will be a hi-tech 3D film and the first one with performance capturing technology to be produced in India. James Cameron’s mega hit ‘Avatar’ and Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ were made with the same technology. The film is being co-produced by Eros International and Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited. It is scheduled for release in August 2012.
